Hey everyone,
I wasn’t really sure which forum to put this in so I just chose the chance forum because it seems to get the most attention. My question is this: do colleges prefer seeing a student take AP Calc over AP Stats? I’m not sure if calc counts as “more rigorous” than stats or something, so if anyone has experience or knowledge pertaining to this issue I would appreciate it if you could give me an answer! Thanks for reading.
@tigerrocks13 @DaedricSaiyan Good to know! I think it’ll be more useful to gain exposure to calculus anyway. I don’t want to be totally under prepared for it in college. Thank you!
Colleges definitely know Calc is harder. Take it!
No problem. Not even a question of which is more difficult/rigorous. It is a huge no-no if you’re wanting to get into a good college to not have AP Cal on the transcript.
Ap calc all the way even though I’m taking ap stats(calc wouldnt fit into my schedule). To make up for it I’m taking college calculus online.
Calc is universally considered more rigorous than stats.
