AP Calculus BC College of Natural Resources

Hey all,

Happy finals week, ha. So I was looking at the list of what AP classes get you out of what and I noticed that a 5 in AP Calculus BC for the college of natural resources says “may enroll in Math 53” but on a different sheet handed out for my major it says I can just “AP out” of math. Does that mean I still have to take a series or math or am I done with math completely? Hopefully I’m done because I’ve planned my schedule for the next year around not having to take math.

Oh and I’m a Molecular Environmental Biology major.

Assuming you’re not applying for med school or anything like that, you can use your AP credit to fulfill the Math 1A/1B or 16A/16B requirement. Not sure which MEB requires. You can enroll in Math 53 for ****s and giggles if you want, since your Calc BC score fulfills the prereqs, but it’s not required.

Wow, I did not know College Confidential censors swearing. Haha

you don’t have to take math ever again. I still haven’t and I’m a fourth year and I don’t plan on it.
