AP Calculus Credit for McCormick

What is the policy for Calc AB? The website only has the policies for WCAS and says to telephone to find the policies for other schools. So did anyone phone them?

it’s the same for WCAS as for McCormick

There’s a link on the top of that page that redirects you to the WCAS policy page.

Be careful of skipping calculus at NU. You might just find out you don’t know as much as you think you do even with a 5 on the AP exam.

My daughter placed out of some basic level calculus as a freshman and she did have a bit of a tough time but still wound up with B+ for the first two terms. She’s now able to take the “fun” math classes, she’s also just about the only Theatre major in these classes.

Glad to hear it…just wanted to note that its not the sure thing some people assume that it is. Did your daughter have both Calc AB and BC? What were her AP scores out of curiosity?

Just Calc AB was offered at our high school and she got a 5 on the AP test. It wasn’t easy but she was happy to be able to complete the pre-reqs a little early and move on to those classes she wanted to take.
