AP Calculus Exam & Math Placement Exam

<p>This might be a weird question :p</p>

<p>I have to take the math placement exam because my major (architecture) requires me to do so, but I got 5 on AP Calculus AB exam (and 800 on my SAT Subject Test in Math II). Does the AP Calculus’ score have any effect on my math course’s scheduling? Can I waive some basic math courses? </p>

<p>I studied hard for the AP Exam and I hope the score worth something…</p>

<p>It depends on the school’s policy. However, most likely you will be given some credit for intro math courses because your major has little to do with Calculus.</p>
