It’s doable if you’re good at memorizing things. I dicked around all year in chem ap, failed most of my tests and learned nothing. A month before the AP test I just crammed using the Barron’s book and got a 3 even though it felt like I failed half the test (actually I did).

So yeah assuming your work ethic is better than mine, it’s a cinch. I think the cut off for a 4 is something like 60% correct. Chem isn’t hard to understand. It’s just like bio in that everything is based off of established axioms, principles, etc that you must memorize in order to be able to make sense of the problems presented.

where can you find the cutoff?

My teacher told us, but I’m sure there’s an official source somewhere on the net. I’ll try to find it.

Well, I suppose if you really like chemistry, it’s doable. Get Linus Pauling’s “General Chemistry”. Any other modern textbook is just rubbish.
