I’m thinking about taking Calculus at my local state college rather than the AP Calculus at my school. Do you think Northwestern would consider the college course as equally rigorous to the AP class?

There are several old threads about this subject if you want to search for them.

It is my belief that in most cases the community college classes will be better. There could and will be exceptions when you have an exeptional teacher at the HS but I have found that most public HS’s are short or equipment and supplies especially in the sciences were a lab. is part of the class.

I don’t think Northwestern really cares so do what is best based on your school and the local college.
