Ap Classes

Will a student who takes CP classes in high school (but not any AP classes) have an equal chance of being accepted to a California State University (like Humbolt for example)?

It depends on the grades. Of course it is better to challenge yourself and an A in an AP demonstrates the most mastery of subject matter. But if you can’t get an A in an AP, it is better to get a A in a CP class. Several people at my school got into Princeton University primarily through academic merit only taking Honors Classes not AP’s. Hope this helps.
