AP Classrooms

My school offers an AP Physics class and Honors Physics class. However, both classes are taught in the exact same room at the exact same time, meaning the Honors class has to go at an AP pace, and is forced to sit through 1/2 of class while the teacher goes off on tangents related to AP topics, and not honors. Likewise, the AP students have to wait through 1/2 of class while the teacher reviews previous topics.

Is teaching an AP and Honors class in the same subject at the same time allowed according to the Collegeboard regulations?

I could be wrong, but I don’t think College Board regulates how AP classes are taught. For example, a calculus BC class could be spent doing all BC topics, or half-and-half. You’d be better complaining to the school or district. Then again, there’s quite a bit of overlap between AP Physics and a regular physics course (except for calculus in Physics C).
