In our school, we have block scheduling, 4 periods a day for 80 minutes, we work on an A B C D schedule.

In our school, the students can only take 5 AP courses, max(most of the top 10 just take 4).

Next year I “planned” to take 4 APs, AP Spanish, BC Calc, Literature, and Government.

However…I got accepted into this programs called New Visions in Health Career Explorations or something like that. Only 10 kids got in (not sure how many applied), but all I know is that if I take it, I’m gonna lose all my APs for next year. However, I plan to study pre-med in college, and I will have gotten a Physics class in.

Will this affect my college searching and whether or not I’ll get in or not, and is it worth it to do New Visions over the AP classes?

I was thinking if I did take the program (which overrides the school schedule and operates at the local hospital every school day from fall to spring), I might take some classes after school at the local community college to get college credit.

If you’ve taken this before, please tell me what you know.
