Here comes a big decision…I felt i forgot many physics over the summer even if i do get a five in physics B exam.

Is it wise to take physics 131 (mechanics/waves) or to replace it with another course? I am in engineering so i don’t want anything unprepared when going to 2nd year of classical mechanics.

I’m not sure exactly what the Physics B exam covers, but I would have to say that is you took AP and got a 5, you would be very bored. 131 is pretty much the basics of mechanics and that sort of thing. I only took Advanced Physics in high school, but I was bored out of my mind in 131. I ended up skipping is the majority of the time and I still got an A no problem.

Then again, I have a pretty good memory for stuff like that. But If I had been in AP, I wouldn’t have bothered with 131.

If you think you can pick up the formulas again pretty easily and remember a little, skip 131.
