AP Credit

When do/did we need to request credit for our AP scores. Can we do it when we get there or is it too late?

in your approaching handbook it says:

You may check in Axess (the online student
records system) after September 1 to determine the AP cred-
it you have been granted. It is your responsibility to have the
Educational Testing Service (ETS) send your AP scores
directly to Stanford. You can call ETS regarding questions
about your AP scores at (888) 225-5427.The ETS website is
http://www.collegeboard.com.

thank you :)

By the way - I only recently figured out that you don’t need to resend your scores if you specified Stanford as your college of choice when taking AP exams. They’re automatically sent (kind of like SAT scores).

^Yrah they say that in the mail you recieve
I haven’t sent them some other external exam grades, when’s the deadline?

yeah the ap list keeps narrowing – check out //registrar – so be glad you’e '10 :-P

actually I wish I was '08 or earlier. '10 isn’t getting much credit (I think '11 is going to get even less!!!) (actually I know cuz they say that the Eco credits are going to go away next year.)

06 or before is the best. ap english gets you out of IHUM requirements.

yeah that p.issed me off.

What??? AP English got you out of IHUM? Not fair! Actually, I’d much rather get out of PWR than IHUM.

Who cares? At least they got out of something!!

no no, you’d MUCH rather get of IHUM…trust me. PWR is overrated in terms of how much it sucks. i mean, it DOES depend on the teacher. but think about it. it’s only one quarter (one each for frosh and soph year), not THREE. and you don’t read as much. and your first paper is 3-4, then 5-7, then 10-14 ish. ALL THREE PAPERS BUILD OFF THEMSELVES. it’s RIDICULOUSLY EASIER than IHUM papers where you have to answer a new topic everytime. professors usually don’t knock you if do the minimum amount, so don’t worry. anyway, that’s about 23 ish pages of writing for PWR in one quarter.

for IHUM it’s usually about 3 DIFFERENT papers the whole quarter. first is 3-4, second 5-7, and third 3-6 or something. so that’s about 15 pages, but on different subjects. and you have to read like a ■■■■. i mean, you don’t have to, but its assigned.

I still don’t get why we have to do IHUM. I mean I would much rather do something like physics than take stuff like: The Art of Living. I know some people like them but why do we all have to take them?

Well seeing as I already took IHUM I think I feel qualified to say that. I’d actually rather have another year of my IHUMs than have to take PWR2. I really didn’t like PWR1 at all. I really liked Fate of Reason my winter/spring IHUM, and I could tolerate my fall IHUM because I liked my TF a lot. I’m really really not looking forward to PWR again. I don’t feel I got anything out of the class. I just had to sit there for 2 hours twice a week which was so painful. At least it’s almost over now…

still, THREE quarters in a row is way worse than ONE. but my PWR was pretty easy.

Three quarters I like (two I really liked and one I could tolerate) is better than one I hate. My PWR was easy too, it just wasn’t nearly as interesting as I thought it would be.

neither was IHUM for the most part. but you lucked out with fate of reason. i wanted that one, and it’s probably the only good one there was. damn you. haha.
