AP Credit

Hi,
I was looking at what PSU accepts as far as AP Credit, and noticed that at the bottom of the page ([AP Credit - Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](Earning Penn State Credit from Advanced Placement (AP) Tests - Undergraduate Admissions)) it mentions that the credit must be useful in the student’s program of study. My major as of now is accounting, so would I receive credit if I took the AP Chemistry exam and got a 4 or 5, since this class is not in my program of study?

As part of the General Education requirements, you must take 9 hours of a natural science. Chemistry counts. If you get a 4 on the exam, you would receive 4 hours of credit. If you get a 5 on the exam, you would receive 8 hours of credit.
