AP Credits for B. Arch

Normally it takes 5 years to graduate from B. Arch programs.
But if I can get some AP credits, will I be able to graduate earlier?
If I can’t, then what do I do with these AP credits?
Do I just take less courses and pay less tuition or something?

The APs that are accepted depends on your school, but I doubt that you’ll be able to graduate early since there are 10 semesters of intensive design studio required for B.Arch.

TskDbx is right about probably not graduating early, but if you receive exemptions to your college’s liberal arts core classes, i. e. for English, History, etc., it will free up some time in your schedule to take more electives, either related to arch or not, of your choosing. That is nice because with the 5 year BARCH programs, your schedule will be filled with mostly architectural subjects. Having the opportunity to take a class or two that piques your individual interests- a philosophy class, a history class, etc.- kind of mixes things up a bit! Good luck! :)

Thanks a lot for the information :)
