Before I found out my AP score Rutgers-Newark made us register for classes (sometime around June). Now that I got my scores, I earned 3 credits towards college for getting a 5 on the World History test. The problem is that I already registered for World Civ. 101. I was wondering whether the 3 credits “cancels” out that class and if I could drop it for another.

When RU recieves your AP scores they should be available to be viewed in the Degree Navigator feature of my.rutgers.edu. Degree Navigator will show the course number you are given credit for because of your AP scores, if that number matches the number of your World Civ. class you can call the office and they will make changes for you. You do not have to wait for the add/drop period during the first week of classes to make this change.
