So I was wondering if anybody had like a basic consolidated list of terms that we should know? If so, would you guys be willing to share? My english teacher has been doing … well, nothing. Hahaha. She has given us the past week to self study for other aps -.-;; lol so anybody willing to share!!! pleasee??? :)

p.s. I’ve been taking some practice exams and I keep noticing that the word process shows up. What is process?! :(

A process is a set of directions for how to do something or a description of how something happens or is done. The fundamental structure for a process essay or paragraph is therefore chronological.

If your school uses the Prentice Hall Reader, they have an entire chapter dedicated to process.

ooohhh I kinda get what you mean. Do you think that you can give me some examples? Our school uses like a literature book… which does not really help for this kind of english test lol

Describing how to play an instrument
A recipe in a cookbook
A description of how an earthquake occurs
An essay describing the history behind suicide bombings in the Middle East

Hahah yeah I bought Cliffs but there’s only like 72 pages worth of review stuff and the rest is like practice tests -.-;; kinda worried that those 72 pages wont be enough =/

I’m not even gonna crack open a book lol. The way I look at it, it’s english. What you write is what your write. Your skills as a writer won’t make a significant difference unless you haven’t been familiar with the 3 types of essays. I see buying a book for the multiplechoice, but my teacher has been going overboard with them.
