AP European History 2009

For everyone who took the exam this year, how do you think you did, and what FRQs seemed to be the most difficult for you?

I think I did well. The multiple choice was not bad and it was easy to incorporate outside info into the dbq. As for the first frq, I chose the enlightened despots one, which I’m sure I did well on. However, I couldn’t remember enough specifics for each of the despots so my essay was not as organized as it could have been. I could probably have done one of the other two eastern european topics, but I would have had to make some guesswork. As for the second frq, the sci rev topic was pretty simple.

I thought some of the MC were pretty ridiculous, like really random. I tried not to leave too many blank and guessed on a few (I don’t really remember). The DBQ was actually easier than I thought it would be, though I know that I definitely screwed up my FRQ essay about Frederick the Great and Joseph II. I didn’t really remember who Frederick was so I kind of had to BS it. I should’ve studied all of those confusing Austrian and Prussian rulers more, if anything :S

I thought it was pretty hard. I finished 30 min before the MC deadline and an hour before the essays. Needless to say, i rushed and feel as if I’ve gotten a bad score because of it.

MC was hard.
FRQ was unbelievably easy if I studied a little more. The DBQ was basically a major freebie, though you aren’t supposed to group with social, political, and economic factors. I think that’s what I did…except I went a little more specific than just social, political, and economical. Hope that worked out.
Essays were pretty easy. Like I said, I wish I studied more. The Frederick the Great & Joseph II one…oh man. Just before the test my friends and I were talking about them. I didn’t think it’d be a question on the FRQ but if it was on the MC, I just remembered that Frederick the Great did everything but free the serfs and Joseph II did everything but it didn’t last.
So I had to make up what “everything” was.
Heh.
