Or is it, comment here

fizzzix!!!11!yay!

I HATE PHYSICS. Maybe it’s just my teacher and/or textbook, but physics is horrible. Just jump right in to the most complicated problems ever without mentioning any simple ones.

im so glad that ap physics is over. Now i can laugh at my friends that take it this year!

I hate my textbook, and I’m practically self-stuyding so… not so fun.
I’d like to know the material, but the book is so redundant, and doens’t explain a thing! It jumps right into “Example Problems” and you have to figure it out from there. It doesn’t explain any of the algebra of derived formulas, so suddenly they throw a formula at you, and you’ve no idea where they got it from. I hate it.

Is the Study guide any better? I’d buy it in a heartbeat if it was!

AP Physics sucks

physucks
i take bio and chem

I love AP Physics ones you get used to it and the “Physics” way of thinking (just like substituting and dividing random things) it is actually a really fun course

I don’t know, I’m lost already. My teache keeps saying that it’s “not calculs based” and yet we use calculus. I took conceptual phsics freshamn year and really liked it (I love the teacher, too) but i have no idea what i’m doing.

basically our whole physics grade is 3-4 tests and a lab grade. so if you f up on tests ur screwd

My class is so hard that I’m having a C in it. Well, it’s partly my fault though since I don’t do my homework.

Ah yes, physics has so many calculus concepts in it that any teacher who says there’s no calculus in physics is a liar. Or trying to disguise the calculus by making you find areas under trapezoids instead of areas under curves, or slopes of straight lines rather than slopes of parabolas.

…maybe I’m the only one, but I like physics. It’s pretty awesome. For the last 3 classes, we’ve gotten to play with fire (we’re in the thermodynamics unit), which is uberFun. Everything we learn is common sense stuff, so it’s not that hard.

Calc concepts are easy in physics. Literally, basically just memorize you chain rule and power rules and you are set. The non AP Calc people in our physics class taking the C exam were taught ALL the calc they needed in a 60 minute period.

And every time you must use a difficult concept (i.e. multiple integrals), there is an easier (but more time-consuming way) to do the question.

And I agree, mechanics in particular is simple. Start of with those 5 kinematic equations that were drilled into our heads…x’‘=v’=a’=jerk (lol, a common joke is “you are a-prime” or v double, or the "third derivative of position).

No fire for me though :(

Well, I’m only taking Physics B, so I hope I don’t need too much calc. It just seems like I’ve got the conceptual part down but not the math part. We just finished kinematics and vectors and are going onto Newtonian Mechanics, which doesn’t seem so hard.

For those in physics C, where are you? We just started rotational stuff today.

My Physics C friends have just finished mechanics.

We finished mechanics a few weeks ago and got through the first part of E&M (electrostatics, fields, Gauss’s law, etc), but now we’re just reviewing for the semester exam—which is just going to be a released mechanics exam.

Physex is more fun ;)

Physics is hard but it sure is “phun.”

WOOHOO!
