AP French questions

<p>Are they supposed to debate serious political topics in AP French? I am asking because my daughter came home today, quite upset over how a specific political debate went…in AP French. And the topic involved a religion issue, that involved our religion. She was quite upset over how attacked she felt. </p>

<p>I am wondering if this is going to continue? The teacher says this is a part of the AP test. Can anyone please shed some light on this? Thank you!</p>

<p>Each school is supposed to develop its own AP course curriculum.</p>

<p>So there is no one “correct” lesson plan:</p>

<p>However, debating in a foreign language seems to me to be an excellent way to learn and use a language.
Also, the very nature of a debate is its unknown outcome. (Otherwise, why hold one.)</p>

<p>If it makes you feel any better, I was “attacked” in school on a several occasions.
Also part of the learning process.</p>
