AP General Help and Prerequisites

Hello, I am looking for an organized table/data of recommended prerequisites for various or all AP Exams, as well as general information. The AP website provides a hodgepodge of information but doesn’t exactly go into detail about the data for each exam.

Furthermore, is there a “blue book” of AP Exams? Which preparation books are the best for AP Exams? Are there any detailed, organized reviews for books on this website?

Which AP Exams are generally considered “easiest” and “hardest?” I mean not including teachers, but the exam itself, including those with the lowest or highest passing rates, or those you personally found to be best.

Is there any website I can find more information about AP Exams? The official website barely provides anything in general about all the exams.

Finally, this may seem silly, but is it possible to take AP Music Theory without playing an instrument, as in using self-study and flash cards?

My high school website doesn’t provide this info (it’s not academic-oriented) so if anyone could provide a link to their high school website, it would be greatly appreciated.

bump10char, I only currently need the answer to the last question, thank you.

My HS website doesn’t provide much on AP exams, other than school policies and how to pay for them and stuff…

Since there are so many AP exams, there’s not really a “blue book” of AP exams. Princeton Review seems alright, I dislike Kaplan’s AP practice tests though.

Easy/hard AP exams are too subjective. For example, I thought Calculus BC was far easier than AP Literature since I’m more of a math person.

Every year the CB publishes an “AP Report to the Nation” with data from each exam, including what percentage scored 1-5, and data by state. More information is here:

& I don’t think you need to know an instrument to do well on AP Music Theory.
