AP in freshman year

So I took AP French freshman year and what I’ve heard is that colleges such as UC and Stanford don’t look at freshman year grades. But is there any way for them to still look at my AP French grade and that I took it at all?

Thanks for replying!

From what I am told, colleges are more concerned with Freshman - Junior year than anything.

I am nearly positive all colleges (top 10 or not) take every year of a person’s high school career very seriously.

^ Agreed.

They won’t ignore your grades or anything, just perhaps ‘weigh’ freshman grades less than the more important years, like junior year.

Doesn’t mean your AP class was for naught! And wow! AP during freshman. My school doesn’t even allow that :P

Colleges “don’t look at freshman grades” only because its a transition year, and they respect lower/abnormal grades that year; however, if you did amazing and took AP classes freshman year, that will definitely be recognized.

so would you say that UC’s and Stanford would actually see freshman year courses taken?
