from what i’ve heard about eng comp 3 (i didn’t have to take it)… why would you want to take it if you don’t have to? it’d be far more work than other english classes which might pique your interest more, even if you say you don’t like english.

hate english but like shakespeare? focus on him. hate shakespeare but like fiction? take a class on that. there’s asian american literature, native american literature, women writers, the bible as literature, mythology, children’s literature, science fiction…

can’t you find 3 classes besides engcomp 3 that would be more interesting to you?

disclaimer: i’m not sure what the “english” requirement for premeds really consists of, so i could be way off-base here. but if any english dept classes are acceptable, then try a few out!

thanks for your post… it actually helped… im in english 4w now and dont like reading and analyzing poetry. However, fiction I do like, some aspects of reading I wouldnt mind doing.

Thanks
