AP Macro/Enviro/US Gov = Filler Courses???

O.K so admit it: Enviro, Gov, and Macroecon (yes by itself!!! not paired with Micro) are not the hardest of the AP tests. But are they really filler courses???

To those who take these courses: defend your thoughts with your AP Scholar/ Mount Olympus wisdom…

To those who don’t: no really what do you think…

???

Enviro is relatively easy. i don’t have experience with the others ones…but heard they’re pretty easy.

why does it matter?
If you like these subjects then take the classes

I’ve heard AP Enviro and Macro are pretty easy, but AP Government is (or at least should be) a substantial class.

U.S. Govt was a somewhat hard class for me. The exam was easy, but the class wasn’t that easy.

I find Macro very hard for some reason. Not a lot makes sense in that class. Micro first semester was easier.

From what I’ve heard, Environmental Science is easier than Physical Education. I saw some of the questions and I can’t say I think much of the class based on what I’ve seen.

Macroeconomics and U.S. Government, on the other hand, were very substantial courses with a great variety of interesting concepts.

While on the subject, how about human geography? I think that one might be a filler course, probably.

I’d true this statement, and just tell you to go ahead and forget abt “filler courses” and just take the courses that makes you happy (not necessarily the easier courses by the way! lol)

i’m taking econ this semester, and took gov last semester, and i found gov’t stupid and econ confusing.

now english is a filler course.

and physics also.

okay i was kidding about physics.

Most English courses, yeah, I’d agree. The most useful thing I got out of a normal English course (Honors, not AP) was knowing how to write a research paper using MLA format.

However, I did have one epic English course in 11th grade (English Language) which not only contained some of the most interesting concepts, analysis, discussion essays I have ever seen, but which also allowed me to look in contempt at pretty much all previous English courses. Such a waste… the teacher exist only to explain a few plot details that the student might not have got because the text is too hard, and to provide historical context for the work in question. Nothing interesting or insightful… dammit, I miss my 11th grade English Language class. All other English classes, including English Literature, are true filler courses. Of course, English Language and English Literature are virtually the same thing as far as what you are supposed to do in them, so the true difference - the only difference - is the teacher.
