I’m planning on self studying for the AP Physics exam for the 2018 exam.

What exactly is the difference between Physics 1, 2, and 3 and which would you recommend to a beginner?

What textbooks/ prep books should I use to study the material?

There is no AP Physics 3. The differences between the AP courses is outlined on the College Board site:

If the school offers the class, you’re better off taking the class.
