Next year I will be a junior in high school and I will be self studying AP Physics C. As i will be self studying versus taking the class, does anybody know where I could find information labs that I could perform? The College Board recommends that 20% of instructional time is spent on labs, so are there any instructions / procedures for labs posted online? Also, as this will be my first year physics course, would I be fine taking Mechanics 1st semester and Electricity and Magnetism 2nd semester, or would it be better to take just mechanics as a full year course, and Electricity and Magnetism next year? (I took Calc AB this year and will be taking Calc BC next year, so I know all the necessary calculus already)
You can buy the lab kit but the price is terrible. My kids took both classes in one year. But their school has block schedule with maximum 4 classes per semester. It could be harder with self-studying. It depends on your ability. Why do you want to self study?

My school does not offer AP Physics C. I want to self study because I love Physics and I want to be able to use my knowledge of Calculus, as I also love math.
It’s doable if you are really strong in math.
Another option: take community college classes.
I’d rather not do this since the closest one to my school is at least a 40 minute drive, and they don’t have a good online program. And i really like the way AP Classes and tests are set up. Are there any high schools that have posted lab guides / materials lists for the labs? Or are there lab guides / materials lists contained in any textbooks?
Can you take the class (Mechanics) at CC this summer?
What is CC?
Community College.
If you can take the first class this summer then it will be easier to manage the second class (electricity & electromagnetism) during the school year. Many community colleges have classes in the evening during the school year. You only need go to CC in the first semester of your school year.
Ah. I hadn’t considered that. I will look into it.
