AP Physics Concept questions...

Ok i m having problems with a few concept questions in phyiscs, please explain WHY the answer is as it is…

If the earth went faster would People weight less or more? and why

2.Which has the greater angular (rotational) speed, a horse near the outside rail of a merry-go-round or a horse near the inside rail?

People in the future may lice inside a rotating space station that is more than 2km in diameter. Inside this structure, people on the inside of the outer edge will experience 1 g of simulated gravity while people inside halfway to the axis will experience What?

o and also, if somebody could explain WHY gravity is felt on the OPPOSITE direction when going in ciruclar motion ( like when you are all the way at the top you feel gravity up)…that would be cool

Thanks in advance.

I dunno about the answers to 1 and 3, because I’ve never had physics before, but I know #2 from calculus. Both horses have tha same angular speed because the horses will make one complete revolution in the same time. However, their linear speed (would that be what you would call it?) would be different because the circlular path of the outside horse would have a greater length than that of the one closer to the inside, and they both complete their path in the same time.
Hope this helps

Thanks Alot Rootbeer…Yeah we do call it linear velocity lol, so does anybody know the answer to the other two questions, cause we have a test like in 2 days lol
