AP Physics, Stat *and* Calc AB?

Has anyone taken AP Physics, AP Stat and AP Calc AB in the same year?

I’m really interested in all three, but am worried it’ll be too difficult of a load or they’ll be too similar (very math-based). I’m taking regular Physics now and am doing well, and I am strong in math. However, I don’t plan on having a science or math based major in college.

I’m going into senior year, and will take three other classes as well (we only have 6 periods).

Are they even good classes?

Any advice/warnings?

If you don’t plan on having a science/math based major I wouldn’t recommend it. For example, I’m currently a Junior and I was taking AP Physics C & AP Calculus AB during the beginning of the year. However, I have many other APs to take care of and since I’m not planning on majoring in anything near the engineering area, I decided to drop the physics. This was a decision unrelated to my grade or any similar factor, but rather the fact that I won’t need the course. However, if this is your strong point (since you mention you’re a math-based person) and believe you can handle it, then I’d say just go ahead and take the APs - for the heck of it.

Well I’m taking AP Statistics, and I’d have to say it’s the least “math-centric” subject of the ones on your list. Almost all of it is application problems and it’s incredibly useful, even in non-science.

I took calc last year and I am taking physics and stat this year. Physics is very easy if you know your concepts because it is usually an application of one of those concepts in the MC and an integration of them in each FR question. As for physics…yeah…just pick up PR and study it the night before if you want a 5, although I am sure if you do more prep you could get a near-perfect score on the exam.
