I am making a little car that is driven by pulley-tomato soup can and I need to know of a way to attach the rear axle so that it can still rotate.

I don’t know if this will work, but you might be able to make a closed loop of scotch tape (sticky side out) around the axle, using a fairly-tight-but-loose-enough-to-rotate loop, then cover the outer adhesive portion with more tape (or anything, really) and tape the loop to the bottom of the car, letting the axle rotate in the loop while the loop is attached to the car.

or is there any way to make your own bearings?

Anyone? bump…
