AP Psychology help

im taking ap psychology and currently have a C in the class… Im doing very well in quizzes, class participations, worksheets etc… but i keep failing the tests!
i talked to my psychology teacher today about taking the ap exam this year. he thinks (I do too) the major reason for these low test grades is my language (im from another country).

should i take the exam??

If the money isn’t a problem, of course you should take it! You do not get penalized for a low score.

When it comes to your language skills, where do you have the most trouble? Is it understanding questions, or writing the answer?

If it is the latter, you should take the exam anyway. If you do extremely well on the multiple choice questions (maybe one or two mistakes only), you won’t even need to answer the free-response questions. When it comes to those, however, you are marked on knowlede and understanding, not grammar and spelling.

If you have trouble understanding questions, take tons and tons and tons of practice tests. You will eventually learn to understand the questions more and more, and also, you could probably ask your psychology teacher to help you with the ones you don’t understand.

Either way, getting a good score on the AP exam isn’t the most impossible thing in the world. Don’t worry, I’m sure you can do it. Like iismepeter said, if you have the money, take the exam. :)

ok thanks for the responses…i’ll do my best in studying in the next 2 months
