<p>Note I meant to make it My Schedule That Kills Me as the topic, but I somehow wrote AP, it won’t let me edit it. *
I took an AP Class, I had a terrible teacher, and got A’s and B’s in the class… But I ended with a B each semester of 9th grade in AP Human Geo. Guess what everyone got B’s and bellow. Everyone in my class who got a 5 got a B or C in the class. I took AP Human Geo Exam, and fine on it. I signed up for the only other AP class offered to a student: AP World History. Since I got a B in the class , with the other kids. That class made me get one B each semester, but I got A’s once a quarter. She gave insane amounts of homework compared to the other Human Geography teacher. And I think I didn’t focus in the other class I got the B in for the semester. I mean doesn’t it say something in my AP Human Geo class filled with 2 freshman(including me), and a bunch of sophomores, and juniors, AND NONE OF THEM EVER GOT AN A in the class, she graded ABSURDLY!!! And didn’t prepare us enough like the other AP Human Teachers, who had a lot more A’s than all of our B’s and Bellow, and our class average was TERRIBLE (It’s embarrassing to say). At the end of Human Geography, I felt like I was focused enough, and hard working enough to take harder class. Just before I GOT A NEW SCHEDULE FOR 10TH, my mother called up the school and forcibly pulled me out of AP World History. I was really mad, since I’m great at history, and I felt like I could def. get A’s in the class. My mom pulled me out wanting me to have a lighter schedule this year, and make sure I get all A’s. These are the same people (parents) who went to my school last year, and pulled me into AP Human Geo (I think should of waited for 10th) and if I waited I might of gotten an easier teach. So now I’m stuck in World History Honors!!! They wouldn’t even let me do pre AP. Because they think you get no benefit. When I apply to highly ranked colleges later on will they think down on me, and not accept me looking and saw I took World History Honors and not AP World History I mean don’t take this message wrong I’m not freaked out, I’m just curious. Right now I’m in ALL honors classes. So I guess I might have more time. Should I self study a class like ap comparative government I mean I’m great in Government I had American Government Honors and year and got 99 and 99.8 in the class last year for both quarters, and I had the highest grade in the class both times by FAR! Or should I SELF STUDY AP World History? Lol any suggestions for my problems?

<p>but seriously, i think the best course of action for you right now is to just sit down and talk with your parents. if you’re serious about taking the AP class and are confident that you can do well on the test, there’s no reason you shouldn’t take it. Colleges recalculate your GPA based of AP courses anyways, so a B in an AP course isn’t necessarily worse than an A in an honors class. in the end, it all evens out, but if worse comes to worst you can always self study for the test while taking the honors course, although that seems a bit counterproductive from my perspective (because your school offers the course). hope that helps! :)</p>
