Ok so I took the APUSH test this last Friday and I am pretty sure I did badly. I sent the cancellation request to Collegeboard via fax to cancel my AP score as I don’t want my score to be on my score report as some of the summer programs I applied to ask for my AP score report during the application process. What happens now? Will my exam be scored or will it just be disregarded or what else? Was there a deadline for submitting the score cancellation request so that my exam doesn’t get scored? Please help me as I am confused as to what I should do next.
Nothing. You did what needed to be done.
Your exam won’t be scored, but the only way you’ll know that is when you open the portal in July.
You don’t need to do anything, although your score report will always say “score cancelled at student’s request” whenever you send an official report.
I was considering calling CB today to confirm that they received it. Do you think I should do this?
I believe that’s only when the exam has been graded. Cancelations before grading don’t show up, similar to a no-show for the exam.
No. You’ll likely not get a person to answer the phone anyway.
So I did end up calling them, and they said that I should wait a few days for them to receive the fax, so just have to wait. Just to make sure, since I submitted my cancel form early, my exam isn’t scored right?
Correct
Im just worried that the app i used to send a fax just randomly didn’t send a fax(as this was my first time doing it) and if I should send in the physical form to CB or just pray the fax arrived. What do you think I should do? should I just send the physical letter as a backup just in case the fax didn’t go through or something?
Sure. Send a hard copy via USPS
will it cause any issues if they receive a request twice?
No.
do u think sending the request today by mail for the apush exam would be early enough so that CB doesn’t score my exam(I don’t want them to see my doodling on my frq)
You’re really overthinking. I answered this already.
You’re overthinking this. Don’t worry about it. As skieurope has said, it will be canceled.
My dad actually ended up calling them today and according to him, they said that everything sent in will be scored… I’m hearing different things from different people and I’m a bit confused now and so is my dad.
Your score will be cancelled. You don’t need to worry about it.
I mean, the conflict of what people are saying is confusing me more and making me nervous. I did take what my dad said with a grain of salt, as he did state that the representative seemed very reluctant to answer questions, but that didn’t really make me any less worried. As a matter of fact, I chatted with a CB representative later to double-check, and they said that my exam wouldn’t be scored.
Yes, I get nervous very easily.
They will not score it. We did this with my son after a test a few years ago. Faxed in the cancellation request the same day ast the test and then mailed a copy, too. He does not have a score, however, it is listed on his AP report with “score canceled” or something like that.
