At UT (hookem horns), how are AP scores converted into credits? I have received conflicted evidence. My calculus teacher states that Texas at Austin operates on a simple 'pass' or 'fail' basis in accordance with the standards provided by their site. One of my buddies (future engineering honors horn) tells me that a 5 counts as an A+, and that a 4 counts as B or something like that...

I'm pretty sure no grade is assigned to the credit you receive via AP exams.

AP Cut Scores

That's their AP policy, and I don't see anything about grades in there.

No AP score converts into a grade. You may receive credits for your AP scores, but will have nothing contributed to your GPA.

AP credits = no grades, just credits.

UT formerly assigned grades for various passing grades of AP tests. This policy ended after the class that entered Fall 2006.
