So I self studied for APES and Lang this year and got 4s. My school only offers honors and not APs so that’s why I took the tests. I’ve never actually taken a Lang class; I took the test while I was in American Literature. I have a 4.0 UW GPA. If I send these scores with my application will it indicate grade inflation? I didn’t study for the tests at all… I just took them after I finished most of the year in honors environmental science and honors American Lit. Would it be safe for me to send them to top tier schools with my application or will they take it as grade inflation?
You need to calm down. They won’t see it as grade inflation. They probably won’t even consider the score. See @skieurope’s comments from an Ivy admissions office. Please don’t self study for APs. You get measured against what your school offers.
