I am going to give 5 AP’s in the Late Testing Period this summer. They are Calc BC, Physics both C, Chemistry and Physics 2. I think I probably won’t be able to get a 5 on one of the Physics exams (most probably Physics 2). Cornell gives only credit for a 5 on the Physics exam and also, you cannot take the placement exams during orientation if you have already taken the AP exams. Since I am giving all these APs after just studying for them for 15 days, I think I will be able to do better on the placement exams if I don’t get a 5 on one of the Physics.
Is there a way to not let college know that you even took an AP exam. I have read even if you cancel the scores, the college sees cancelled in front of the AP Test. Is it the same with the withholding scores?
What should I do if I want to give the placement tests if I don’t get a 5 on the AP?

The AP test in physics 2 seems rather redundant if you take both parts of physics C.
Change “seems” to “is”, since credit will not be given for more than one mech course and one E&M course.
If you mean preparing for the exam after having had the class for an academic year, then 15 days is more than enough time.
Anyway, if you think you are going to do better on the placement test, don’t take the AP test. If you decide to take the AP tests and don’t score a 5, you should just suck it up and take the course in college.
@skieurope Where is it written that “credit will not be given for more than one mech course and one E&M course” as they all place out of different courses?
I don’t see a reason to hide an AP score except for the limited schools that use AP scores for admission purpose. In most cases, you only submit the AP score report to the school you registered and a bad score would not hurt you at that point.
