What colleges, if any, ask for your AP Test scores? And do colleges look at AP scores in the admissions process? Finally, what roles do the AP awards play?
There has been about a 1,000 posts about AP scores on this site in the last week.
But to summarize…
No colleges require AP scores in an application packet, AFAIK. Many leave space for them, if you want to provide them, but they have minimal, if any, impact on the admissions process. Grades over a year-long course are more important than a 2-3 hour exam on the topic.
They are used mostly for placement. As a majority (I believe) of AP tests are taken at the end of Senior year, most aren’t available anyway.
