I took Spanish 4 AP as a sophomore and got a 4 on the exam. I am a non native speaker and was only good in my class because I studied a great deal. Now I am about to be a senior and I have forgotten a great chunk of what I’ve learned. How will this play out in college? Should I hope I get my full language requirement for it? Will relearning it actually turn out to be pretty easy in a college class?

With a 4, you are very likely to be exempt from any language requirement. If not, I don’t think it would be too hard to relearn. Most of it would come back to you as you are in the class. However, maybe reading a book in Spanish, with a Spanish-English dictionary, in the summer before the class would help.

Watch some Spanish TV or read some Spanish newspapers on the internet. Download the free Latin single of the week from itunes.

As I learned in AP Psychology, the relearning effect, haha, so relearning old material should not take as long as it took the first time to learn it!

Lol good one iluvpiano. I took psych as well so I should’ve known that and yeah I like the spanish TV idea, nothing funnier than those dramatic telenovelas!!!
