AP Stat & Prob or Virtual Enterprise?

What looks better on a college app?
Granted Stat has more of the AP appeal and courseload appearance but Virtual Enterprise could perhaps look good through connections and seminars/conferences.

Thoughts?

What else are you taking next year?
Are you a rising senior or rising junior?

Rising senior
Worthwhile to mention- AP Lit & APUSH. Trying to self-study for Gov Comp and/or Macro, going in for a major in Accounting.

Again, I personally see value in either- and VE isn’t exactly a cinch to get into (in my school at least). On the other hand, I also see value in AP credit, colleges seeing a heavier courseload, and of course potentially getting any Stat class I’d need to take out of the way.

For my kid, if this was a choice, I’d recommend Virtual Enterprise - at least it would make one stand out from the crowd. I read that AP Stat is one of the easiest AP’s, so not sure of the value.

@typiCAmom Thank you- again I see value in both still. To your point, though it’s an easy AP, it’s still an AP so I wonder how they’d view it.

I’d go with Virtual Enterprise provided

  1. you’re taking another math course (precalculus or calculus)
  2. beside APUSH and AP Lit, you’re also taking a science and a foreign language class (unless you already took bio, chem, physics; and foreign language through level 3, 4, or AP).
  3. considering your major, you’d need to take statistics in college anyway. AP Stats would just be a preview.

@MYOS1634 Fair enough- thank you
