I’m Self Studying Stats. Do you guys think it would be okay to get the 2003 edition of “The Practice of Statistics” by Yates and Moore. Or should i get the newest/ a newer version. I want to get the 2003 editiion b/c it’s much, much cheaper.

Is there a significant difference between the 2003 and the 2006 Edition of the book…or did the authors make a new edition just for the money?

I have a feeling that the first book is used for college level statistics courses, whereas the second book is for an intro to statistics and is therefore on a less complex level. I think you can liken it to using a high school chemistry book, or any science book on that level, compared to using a more difficult book for AP classes.

ugh!!!..i’m on half.com…and even the 2002 edition for “The practice of Statistics” is expensive…what are some other textbooks used for AP stats?

There is a “The Basic Practice of Statistics” on half.com, and it’s much cheaper…but i don’t know if it is used for AP stats…grrrrrrr…I NEED MONEY. o_O lol
