My son is moving into an apartment for his third year, and we have to buy a few things, one being a bed of course. Since kids are already used to a twin bed in the dorm, do most parents just go with a twin bed for the apartment as well? He has a queen size bed at home, so I have a feeling he may be expecting something a bit more “grand” than what he had at the dorm. We haven’t even discussed it yet, but I thought I would first get some views of other parents here that already have kids in campus apartments.

I would think it would be nice to move him up to a full size
After all there will probably be a little more room in the apartment…

Generally, apartments have at least a full.

A twin is a lot easier to move on your own or with a friend than a queen. Might be worth thinking about if he’s like most young people and will move a bunch of times before settling down somewhere.
