<p>I went to UCSC for 2.5 years and some CC in between. So, I have a high unit count. I have a super low GPA, but I’ve learned I had ADD and I’ve gotten much better grades the last 2 terms (3.6GPA). I’m trying to transfer to UC Merced for mechanical engineering, but in case I don’t get in I’ve gone ahead and told UCSC I’m returning for the fall to major in something else. If I get in I can withdraw from UCSC, depending when decisions are posted. I am weary of putting the 15ish more units on the application update because that will put me substantially over the upper-unit limit.</p>
<p>Should I declare FALL UCSC coursework on the application update?</p>
<p>Should I first ask them specifically if that (unit count) would significantly hinder my application?</p>
