<p>I need advise from my fellow CC-ers:</p>

<p>My D will be a soph this fall. Before her freshman year started, both H and I were displaced from our jobs, he temporarily and me permanently. D’s U gave her a grant in addition to her scholarships. The current bill is in for the fall semester and there is no grant, even though our EFC went down and I am still out of work. We would like to make an appeal for grant $$, but are unsure who should make the call to the Fin Aid office, D or parents?</p>

<p>Agree, it is the parents who usually fill out FA forms and understand family finances better. I never hesitate to call myself when it comes to FA questions or problems.</p>
