It has been a little more than 3 weeks since I have begun the appeal process for University A and have not received any information back as to whether my appeal was successful or not. For context, my application was withdrawn since there had been incorrect information as it said that I had not completed a required supplemental course for University A, but I have completed all the necessary courses. I then appealed the application withdrawn with documentation. I am transferring from a community college and was admitted to another University, B. My preferred choice still stands with University A, but the orientation deadlines and such are coming close for University B which is a backup college for me if I don’t get into my preferred one. Should I still continue to wait in hopes for my application to be appealed for University A or pay for the orientation fees and such for University B? I was conflicted as I am unsure if there would be any repercussions if I continue to meet the deadlines for University B, turn in all necessary documents as if I were to be attending that college but suddenly change my mind if I end up getting into University A.
I would call Uni. A and ask when you can expect a decision.
In the meantime, you need to pursue B since that’s where you are accepted. There should be no repercussions if A comes through. I would think it would be the equivalent of coming off a waitlist.
