How likely is it an appeal would be accepted and result in admission. I don’t have a great profile to begin with, there are lots of people with better who got rejected. So is it even worth appealing?

Essay - 8/10
Activities: varsity track, football, National History Day, Green Team, Concert Band, National Honor Society, Student council, Math club, Fitness Club.
CS: 250 hours in various activities in school, independent, NHS, and internship at an NGO.
I’m an international applicant and I applied for mechanical engineering. If I choose to appeal, I’ll need to choose a new major that’s less competitive, so can anyone suggest one? something maybe related to math or science or management preferably, but any suggestions are welcome
