My daughter was denied admission to CUNY Baruch. Her CA believes the enormous # of applications was responsible for the rejection. Any advice on appealing an admission decision? She is on the principal’s list, has held leadership posisiotns and has a medical condition requiring regular visits to a Manhattan hospital…

The enormous number of applications could only be responsible for the rejection if they found lots of people that they would rather have than your daughter. Thus, they’d still reject her either way.

Unless you believe something has been unfairly considered or held against your daughter, there’s no point appealing.

hey just wondering, what’s the medical condition have to do with it?
I don’t think you should bother appealing, I think that they might view that unfavorably, and I’m sure there’s a reason the college didn’t see the student as the right fit.

We appealed! She’s in!

what exactly did you do to appeal?
just got rejected and i really would like to get in

awesomemanz, that post is two years old, and the student’s mother has not posted again since her daughter was accepted.
