Appealing for UCLA

Hi, I am debating whether or not to appeal for UCLA, but I do not know if I have a strong enough basis for reconsideration. You see, I applied for Biochemistry with Political Science as my secondary major, because at the time I really wanted to do biochem. But, I have not taken any science based AP classes, which I believe is the reason that I was rejected. I have, however, taken English AP classes, which I believe would have made me a better candidate for political science. Also, I later realized that biochem didnt appeal to me as much as I thought it did, and I wish I had made political science my primary major.
Is this enough for them to change their decision? Would it help adding in anything about my intention to join the marching band at UCLA if I were accepted, or something about how I have my heart set on going there?

Also, I know that the deadline has passed, but the admissions officer I talked to said that they would read anything that was sent in, even if it were late.

I don’t see why not. Can you accept a college and wait for an appeal at the same time? I think that was be most secure.

I think I can do that. In that case, I’d have to decide between uc davis and san diego, but that’s an issue for another thread lol
and ok, thanks! I think I will be appealing, even if the chances are slim
