Appeals Question for UCD Admissions

I was wondering if there is a way for those who were rejected to get in touch with Davis and find out exactly why they were rejected. I’m just wondering because I’m deciding whether or not to appeal and I want to know the reasoning behind their decision.

Thanks

That information should be accessible from the decision page, telling you how the process works and how to make an appeal. Once you are logged in, you should have a link. It isn’t available to admitted students, but I think this might be the URL https://admissions.ucdavis.edu/myAdmissions/appeals

In 2003, UCD had more than 850 appeals filed and granted admission to less than 50, according to a UC system-wide report I found online talking about appeals.

For transfer students this is an easy process; we can determine if GPA, Units or classes had an effect on your admissions.

For freshman students since the application are reviewed through the comprehensive review process there isn’t a list of determining factors on why the admissions decision was made. Please see [Freshmen: Non-Admitted Students](Undergraduate Admissions) for more information.
