Is it worth appealing to a school if you know 1) academically inferior canidates were accepted and 2)You have improved your resume substanitally since the application process. Also, what other reasons besides errors on application materials are grounds for an appeals case?

That depends on the school. I know at UF you need to have significant information that was not reviewed in the first application process, which you say you have.

Even so, getting a decision overturned is rare. Keep that in mind. Though I am appealing to UF, I did it with the understanding I only have a 5% chance, if that, of getting what I want.

1) is not grounds for appeal.

2) might be, but only if you didn’t have the opportunity to send in the additional information before the decisions were made.

If the school doesn’t have a formal appeal process, however, your chances of having an appeal even looked at are somewhere between slim and none.
