@fendrock - Has your event happened yet? What did you decide to prepare?
Ironically, I came down with COVID and was unable to attend!
In the end, the event was just about sold out and members came through with appetizers! (see attached photo taken at the event and shared with me)
So sorry to hear you had covid, but glad others stepped up and the event was a success. Looks lovely.
What a bummer!
All our hard work on suggestions gone to waste.
Their food looks yum!
So sorry you had to miss but glad others covered. Looks lovely!
Appetizer suggestions never go to waste, waist maybe, but not waste.
I love the pics of clever arrangements, and I bet others got ideas, too.
Glad it worked out. Sorry about COVID.
I planned another event, Summer Jazz Hour, and did do the appetizers.
I (fortunately!) had the assistance of two hard working club members and we put the food together in about three hours – groceries cost less than $200 (most of the shopping done at Aldi).
Menu
Finger sandwiches
- Ham, brie, honey
- Smoked turkey, gouda, mustard
- Tomato and cheese, butter
- Cucumber and cream cheese
- Eggplant, sweet red pepper, olive spread
Fruit salad
Cut up vegetables and dip
The event ran from 4-6pm and we had quite a bit of food left over – I found it interesting that people do eat less at an “appetizer” event than at a “meal” event.
Cucumber and cream cheese was the most popular, I’d say.
