Apple dumplings madewith Mountain Dew?

<p>For those who made these recipe with crescent rolls, apples, and Mountain Dew…Can you make them at night to serve the next day? Or are they better warm out of the oven? How messy are they to eat?</p>

<p>I’ve made them with peaches. Yes, you can make them the night before but they are best straight out of the oven. They are not all that messy. The liquid gets pretty thick while they bake. My family thought they were really good.</p>

<p>I agree with zoeydoggie. I used diet ginger ale and half a cup of white sugar and half a cup of brown sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla. Very good.</p>

<p>I didn’t think they were messy. They were much better right out of the oven.</p>
