Anyone who has an iPhone, iPod or iPad should take care of this today. I heard about it on the radio, and when I got home, checked and found it to be legit.
My iphone says it will update to ios 9.3.4, not 5. How do I circumvent this?
Will I get an auto notice of updates on my devices like is usually do?
I think I’d wait for a direct word from Apple before I’d follow what was said on the radio. They have always had automatic “update” messages for other software updates, I imagine they would for this as well.
I clicked on updates on both my phone and iPad…and this update was there. So…done.
Did you do the update to 9.3.4 already? If not, maybe you need to do that first.
Also, which iPhone do you have?
iphone 6
Did you already do the update to 9.3.4?
I just did and then 9.3.5 popped up when I checked software update.
Thx for the heads up! I wonder why no auto update message though.
Ok, I’m updated to 9.3.5.
I had not gotten notification that I needed to do the update, but when I went into Settings, then Software Update, I was then alerted that there was an update for me to install and that I had to be connected to wi-fi in order to do it. It had not done it automatically as it usually does.
I did the same as @teriwtt.
There was an article about this in the NY times today. I did the update- took about 15 minutes. Dratted hackers…
