Applicants of 2010

see- I told you exeter was bad! (bad for your health!LITERALLY;) ) They were obviously hiding something! If you get in don’t go! ;)

lol, it was sort of sketchy

this is my chart of my choices
best----->worst

andover…Exeter…Milton…My Public High School

u live close to Milton right? if you don’t want to go why’d you apply? can u apply as a local boarder?

anyonnee know anythingg about loomis?

Nothing…

EXCEPT, Loomis sent me a creepy handwritten holiday card, but I didn’t give them my address or request info or anything about them…

and Rad:
Yeah I’m local, and you can apply as a local boarder, my tourguide was from my town. I just think that Milton isn’t that much better than my local public high school. I guess if I get in with FA I would go, but otherwise, I’d just stay where I am.

OMG! I’m stressing out, which is wierd because I’m never stressed. But, our school is doing high school selections, and their all like oh, don’t take all the honors classes your recommended for, that is too much. But, I was looking at good colleges’ websites, and they expect you to take the hardest courses you can, and most applicants to Ivy-level have unweighted gpa’s of 4.0 and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

and I don’t think I’m going to get in private school, and I’m going to have to go to whatever classes I pick. Also, I’m afraid I won’t be able to keep up in Honors Physics which is apparently 11th grade regular material and…AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

and…I really don’t think I should be stressing out about this, but I am!

Also, I don’t know how to explain my science project and we all have different assignments, but mine’s really hard because I have no idea what she put on the sink to make it work. My science teacher also refuses to help me demonstrate these labs I missed for my Exeter Interview which she said I had to do otherwise I will have my grade docked by a lot and I would go down to a B possibly.

AND…the same science teacher DIDN’T WRITE MY RECOMMENDATION EVEN THOUGH SHE PROMISED!!! She is such a BUTT!!!

sorry for my rant :)

:D  :frowning: :-)
Bored. What are some emoticons code for CC?

:p is my fav

: p

8)

…will it work?

PaulaZaria, I was going through the exact same thing last year, and was recommended for all honors classes. I decided to take them, but I realize that although I am doing fine, I would have been better off adjusting and perhaps having a slightly lighter load freshman year.

So basically, if your school is mega hard, you should talk to current freshmen and ask about the classes and how hard they are. If you feel like you are up to it, I would suggest you try all honors classes during the first few weeks and drop one if you feel it is too much. Remember that colleges don’t look too much at freshman year anyway, and you should savor the low(er) stress!

then again, let’s hope you get into BS first! :)

Loomis is a stalker…

They have wicked good soccer. Good writing. ummm their As Schools Match Wits team is a joke!
and uh yeah their mascot is a pelican…ye-upah

thanks susie!

also, rad u r sooooo right

freshman year is the year to adjust but it kind off sets the tone for the rest of your highschool career. i got recommended for all honors classes and i took all of them. im so glad i did because as easy as they are now i would have been bored out of my mind otherwise. and if you take advanced classes now, you will continue to take advanced classes and you won’t have to assimilate later. also i took a class like 2 or 3 years ahead of my grade (french 3) that was all juniors and seniors. it was a blast. alot of them didn’t even know that i was a freshman so they didn’t treat me weird. and when they did figure it out it didn’t change anything. it helps to have classes with upperclassmen and the classes are usually more challenging but you get more freedom to.

just my 2cents :p

btw i have that problem to. im scheduling classes for next year and im like ooo i want to take this and this and double up in this so i can take that then and then im like, hold on, i might not even be here to take these :P

I have to pick classes for next year too! I was thinking that maybe I should take all honors classes because I really think I could handle them, but literally everyone in my class was like “If you take more than 2 or 3 you will have no life!” I really want to do some afterschool stuff and they got me worried that I wouldn’t be able to do that AND keep my straight A’s if I took all honors, so I when I asked my mom what she would suggest she was like “The only reason you couldn’t do them is if you’re too lazy!”…soooo I guess I’m either taking all honors or I’m lazy :)

haha I have like the same situation here, although my mom is convinced that it will be really hard (but I think it’s because she went to the parent’s meeting, and the school normally considers everything really hard, and C’s are average)

I also REALLY want to take two languages because I’ve been taking Spanish and I’m fluent in Mandarin, although my reading/writing is like a first grader’s, but everyone’s like “That’s insane!”

i have yet to sign up for a hs yet! i haven’t chosen b/c there’s only one good school in insert city . I might go out of town… tho  i don’t like to entertain those thoughts though… :)

I want to continue Spanish or maybe start German next year. I have a feeling those two would be useful.

I love german! Oh tanenbaum!!!

rad en cuadros es mi amiga buena
